Eat/Drink
- Miss Shirley's Cafe- A very nice place for breakfast or lunch, off Pratt Street, 6 blocks west and north.
- James Joyce Pub- A fine place to imbibe that is also nearby, west of the hotel on President St.
- La Scala- The best Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Two blocks north of the hotel off Eastern Avenue.
- Charleston Restaurant- Either the best or second best restaurant in Baltimore, perhaps one the best in the United States. Michelin rated, prix fixe, jacket required, monocle suggested, 100 pp minimum. One block south of hotel.
- Lebanese Taverna (719 S. President St.)- Excellent Mediterranean food, plenty of room for a large groups.
- Bagby Pizza Co. (1006 Fleet St.)- Good pizza
- Whole Foods/CVS/Liquor Store- Right around the western corner from the hotel, surprisingly inexpensive for a midcity grocery store.
- Starbucks- For your morning pleasure, just west of the hotel.
- National Aquarium- Probably the attraction of Baltimore, other than the Harbor itself. ~$25 for adults, ~$20 for kids, worth it if you like aquariums a lot. In the groom's opinion, not worth it for those who are indifferent about aquariums. You can also be assured it will be very crowded. West of the hotel off Pratt Street.
- Inner Harbor/USS Constellation- Shops of a tourist nature abound on Harborplace, but the views are excellent. There are also many chain-type eateries, some with harbor views. The ships have admission fees, but you can marvel at them from the outside. Due west of the hotel.
- The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History- A highly regarded museum, much more contemplative than other attractions in the Inner Harbor. Corner of President and Pratt Streets, north and west of hotel.
- Maryland Science Center- A fine science center in the vein of Carnegie Science Center. Walkable only for the ambitious, about 1.5 miles from the hotel across the harbor on Light Street.
